Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate proven experience within a Mining Operation in their chosen field. Plus, hold a recognised Tertiary qualification (or similar). Recent University graduates in the above fields are also encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates must be fully qualified tradesperson, having completed a recognized apprenticeship, and have worked extensively within your trade for the last 5 years. Have proven experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi and O&K (Orenstein & Koppel) machinery such as Face-shovels, Hydraulic Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Front-End Loaders and Dump Trucks.

MOBILE PLANT OPERATORSt3_molten

  • Face-shovel Operators: O&K RH200 / RH340 & RH400, Hitachi EX 5500 & Liebherr 996
  • Excavator Operators: Komatsu PC 1100 / 1250 / PC 3000. Hitachi EX 1900 / EX 2500 / EX 3600, O&K RH120 and Liebherr 994
  • Dozer Operators: CAT D9 – D10T & Komatsu D375
  • Grader Operators: CAT 16H – 24H
  • Dump Truck Operators: CAT 777, 785, 789, 793, 797 & Komatsu 630E, 730E & 830E

Successful candidates must have proven experience in an Open-Cut Mining environment operating the above machinery or similar.

Requirements

To be considered for a position with Extraman under a 457 4-year business visa, you must meet certain criteria.

  • Applicants are required to be fully qualified in their chosen field and have all necessary documentation to verify their qualifications.
  • You must be able to provide written references from your last 3 employers over a 5-year period. These references must show position, length of service and a comprehensive list of duties performed. In addition to the written references, we will also require contact details of at least 2 of your last 3 employers for the verbal communication of your work and your skills;
  • Due to the geographical and geophysical conditions, you need to be of excellent fitness and health; and
  • You must be of good character and able to provide a police clearance certificate as proof.
