In line with the high demand from our clients for skilled tradespeople and due to the extremely high skill shortage in this area Extraman has been granted approval by the Department of Immigration for a Standard Business Sponsorship Approval under the 457 Business Visa Scheme. This allows us to employ overseas trades people, with relevant skills, for a period of up to 4 years. We already have a number of clients that are successfully using this procedure to fill skill gaps in their workforce on a contract basis.
We regularly carry out overseas visits on behalf of our clients to interview possible candidates.
With demand for trade skills at an all time high, there is a distinct advantage in using Extraman to supply overseas workers where the skills are not available in the local market.
- All candidates are screened for general skills, have their trade qualifications verified by a qualified consultant and are comprehensively reference checked.
- Prior to approving their application, all candidates undertake a thorough medical for fitness and to identify any transmittable diseases.
- All candidates are police cleared for any crimes in the last 10 years.
- Extraman ensures that all candidates have private medical cover as well as maintaining a fully comprehensive workers compensation policy.
- Extraman takes responsibility and covers ALL costs in relation to resourcing, re-locating the tradesperson into Australia, employing them and managing their welfare on an ongoing basis.
